Environmental Policy

Every single person on this earth has a part to play in protecting the environment, both locally and globally.

At Creatif, we are committed to protecting the environment, minimising waste and where possible contributing to the circular economy. To this end, we continually evaluate our environmental impact so that we can improve and develop ways to reduce, reuse and recycle.

Our environmental policy complies with legislation – but we want to do more. We continuously strive to work responsibly, ensuring our actions are in line with a more sustainable way of working. These environmental actions include:

  • Careful fabric management. The outer fabric on acoustic products is 100% recyclable, and wherever possible, off-cuts of infill and fabric are used to absorb sound in smaller baffles, rafts and panels.

  • We recycle timber from our moving wall panels, aluminium from the moving wall tracks, and cardboard and plastic from external packaging.

  • Low energy lighting has been installed within Creatif’s offices where possible, as well as within Cube and Seclusif units.

  • Efficient use of energy is considered, turning off lights and electrical appliances that are not in use.

  • We purposefully work with a variety of reputable suppliers that adopt sustainable, environmental, and social responsibilities, with many holding green certifications such as FSC and PEFC marks. Research is conducted into their environmental codes of practice to ensure it ties in with Creatif’s ethical values.

  • Our people are determined to minimise waste and have implemented a scrap paper policy that is used for sketches and notes, preventing paper from being single-use. Recycling is encouraged within the office and showroom, including print cartridges and metal waste. Any waste that cannot be recycled or reused is always disposed of in a suitable manner.

  • The on-site operations team ensure that power tool usage must also only be undertaken at reasonable times of the working day, between 8am and 5pm, to minimise excessive noise pollution.

  • Where possible the team will try to reduce their carbon footprint, by car-sharing or taking public transport instead of driving.

Each new member of staff inducted to Creatif is made aware of the environmental policy and expected to support the same green objectives.
