Bühler, London
Befitting of its status as a global leader, the Swiss-based firm Bühler needed its UK office to be a world-class workspace.
Form Workspace Solutions was brought in to realise this transformation, with a specific focus on flexible working, acoustics and space optimisation.
Given our expertise in these areas, Form approached us to help them out during the refurbishment of the office’s first-floor canteen.
Aware of the need to make this space an acoustic paradise, we worked with Form to create an eye-catching design scheme that would stop reverberation in its tracks.
To do this, we installed a series of ReSound rafts that, as Class A absorbers, soak up over 90% of the sound that hits them.
These were wrapped in Camira’s classic Blazer fabric to create a colourful and playful display that contrasts the restaurant’s exposed, industrial style ceiling.
Alongside our acoustic work, we also installed two sets of our market-leading Solo moving wall next to the canteen, to create a flexible area that could be used for meetings or socialising, depending on the situation.
This not only improved the use of space in the building - a key part of the design brief - but it also gave Bühler’s staff the ability to work and socialise in an area that could easily be changed to meet their needs.
